Can't update, "inconsistent file permissions" error keeps coming up
I can't get FF Pro to update. I keep getting the same error message, no matter how many plugins I deactivate, etc., etc. Here is the error message:
"Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions."

I'm assuming this is from the plugins update link on the plugins page. If this is the case, it actually has nothing to do with FF Pro, and more the permissions that are set up for the plugin and the plugins directory. Here's a link to a good article that will explain it: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/05/proper-wordpress-filesystem-permissions-ownerships/

I had already checked the file permissions. The problem did not go away back then. I checked again just now. All is correct. The problem still occurs.

Were you able to update FFPro on this site before or is this a new site?
Did your FFPro license expire?
Did your host/server change recently?

I get that message all the time in my Mac's local environment if Apple's ds_store file is in a directory. Delete the plugin directory through FTP and upload the new one.
