Complex offline training registration form - can Formidable do all this?

Hi everyone,

I've joined the community to figure out whether Formidable can be the tool to use for a solution I'm working on for a client. They are in need of a rather complex form to capture registrations for offline training. We tried using Gravity for this, but this was discarded as a possible solution when we reached the notifications of the child form (see below).

The form must have:

  1. Sections for participants to be added (repeatable fields), organisation details, billing details - in that order.
  2. Backend data on time and date of registration per training for reporting.
  3. Option for added exam per participant, with choice between different exams with different prices.
  4. Conditionally display a paragraph, location and trainer based on the date option selected.
  5. Calculation of total and VAT.
  6. Notifications to website admin, registrant and participants.
    1. Website admin: merge tags for number of participants, training, training date, notes field, participants list, organisation and billing details.
    2. Registrant: merge tags for registrant name, training, training date, location, participants list, number of participants, price excl. VAT, calculated VAT and total.
    3. Participant: merge tags for name, training, registrant name, training date and location.

Client also has expressed a wish for being able to send personalised emails to participants from WordPress.

When using Gravity and Nested Forms, the issue that made us move away from it as a solution was that it was not possible to have the participant notifications include all needed merge tags without it being positioned at the bottom of the form.

Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Noëlle Steegs,
I have built some very complex stuff with Formidable and looking at your list of requirements I am very confident this is possible.

In order to fully understand each of your points, I would need a bit more information. When I started building a complex project, I opted for the Elite support and at the time I was glad I did, as the developers are very knowledgeable and supportive and helped me with a few tricky conditional codes.

It would be useful if you have some basic HTML skills to build the emails.
