Form Automation daily & weekly reminders
I recently purchased the Form Action Automation adon and I'm struggling with configuring the autoresponders for two forms I'm using. The first form is a daily inventory form where the manager will log his daily inventory count twice a day. My goal is to send an autoresponder via at 5 pm and 12 am to remind the respective shift managers to input their daily inventory. The second form is the weekly inventory todo list which the General Manager will complete every Monday of the week. The goal here is to send an email as to the General Manager to update weekly inventory list.
How would I go about configuring the autoresponders for these two form?
Thanks

I'm not convinced the Form Automation Add-on is the right tool to accomplish this task. With this add-on, the autoresponders are sent after a form entry is created. You want to send the managers a reminder email before a form entry is created. The only way to achieve your requirements with the add-on is to make sure the managers have filled out at least one form already. Then you can have an autoresponder that triggers and email for the next day. The following day's form triggers the email for the following day, etc.
The problem I see with this method is how will you handle it if the manager is out of work for the day? The reminder will be sent, but no form will be filled so the reminder chain will be broken until the manager fills out the next form.
A better approach might be to create a cron job that runs every day at the specified times. This way it is not dependent on the creation of a previous form entry.

Hey Victor,
I've tried the cron aproach and it's somewhat difficult. In the meantime here's Laura responds to my question in support:
I'm working on setting up the form while I await answers to a few questions I will share here as well:
The "start date for reminder", would that be calendar field?
Is possible to import the email addresses you want the reminders to go to to avoid having the receiver of the email completing the reminder form?
I'm kind of lost with the logic of how this works, "send this notification at the appropriate time on the start date field (e.g. 5 hours after for 5:00 am" Could you clarify how I would get the email to send out at 5 Pm?
