How To Not Save Form Entries
I am working on a form that collects personal medical information. Is it possible to not save entries to the WordPress Database. Or can I selectively save some of the field data but not all?
I thank you in advance and my apologies if this has been covered, I was not able to find it in the forum.

I'm not quite clear on what you're trying to accomplish, exactly, but DO know that you must abide by HIPAA rules (assuming you're in the U.S.), which dictates that (at the very least) all medical data stored is encrypted - this is not done automatically by WordPress. There are a ton of other rules for collecting medical data and violating those rules can mean some pretty stiff penalties.
If you can give more detail about your goal, I may be able to guide you further.

Hi Keith,
Thank you for your prompt reply. Your HIPAA point is an important one. Perhaps building an online intake form is not the best idea for this project.
Best,
Erick

We had a similar issue when I worked for a nonprofit that served people with disabilities. Even though a site can be encrypted with HTTPS and you can set Formidable to not store entries (https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/general-form-settings/#kb-storing-entries), there is still the security issue with the data being transmitted by email to be considered.

Thank you Jessica for the link!
For all the reasons listed above we have decided to provide the forms for download only.
Thanks again!
