Lookup field with "Add New" option?

I have a lookup field on Form A. which is populated by Form B, but sometimes the user will want to add a new entry to the Form B options while staying on Form A. Is there a simple way to "Add New Option" or something, without requiring the user to leave Form A? I know Form A can pass option to Form B after the submission, but it's an odd user flow to do that sometimes.

AFAIK there is no clean approach. One idea is to publish form B in the same page as form A and enable AJAX submission - https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/general-form-settings/#kb-submit-this-form-with-ajax
If you customize the look & feel of form B (e.g. change submit button to "Add New Option"), you could get close to what you are looking for.
