Make a view to get birthday dates

My goal is to create a view to display all entries in which a date field (month and day) matches with the current date or any given date.

For example, to display all birthdays from contacts entries in the upcoming week or month.

The thing is, I don't know how to extract the month and day from the date field to make the comparison. Any ideas?
