While working with another member of the Formidable Family, we came to modify the templates and needed to regenerate all of the submissions to include the new information. I was able to find this tidd of information:
"Currently, if an entry is updated in the admin area the saved PDF isn't updated automatically. However, if you use the View PDF feature or resend notifications the PDF is regenerated."
Tested and true. PDF gets regenerated when clicking either "Resend Notifications" in the view entry or "View PDF" in the list of entries. So let's let iMacros do the heavy lifting. This will go through 100 entries and regenerate the pdf's. (though it won't resend the emails, but if you just need to regenerate them after a template change for reprinting it should save some time and energy)
1. Download the Free FireFox iMacros extension here
http://info.whatsupgold.com/iMacros-Free-Versions.html
2. After it's installed and firefox restarts.
3. Save the file below to a folder on your desktop i.e. Macros
4. In FireFox click on the iMacros button to launch the sidebar.
5. In the sidebar click on the "Manage" tab at the bottom, then "Settings"
6. Use the browse folder next to "Folder Macros" and navigate to the folder on your desktop with the file you just downloaded.
Click apply.
7. In your WordPress dashboard go to "entries" for the form you're working with.
8. On the top right click the dropdown "Screen Options"
9. At the bottom of your fields Choose "Entries" = 100 and "Apply"
10. Wait till the entries finish loading
11. In the iMacros sidebar, highlight the macro called pdf-Reprint
12. Select the "Play" tab at the bottom.
13. Click "Play" and go grab a coffee while it regenerates 100 of your pdf's.
14. If necissary, go to page 2 and repeat for as many pages of 100 entries you may have.
This will run through 100 entries, it will select "View pdf", open new tab, switch to it, close it, and go to the next. *This will close all of your other open tabs first*
