multi step form doesn't scroll to top?

I have a multi step form on a website with a fixed navigation. Unfortunately when I click on the next-button the form loads the next step but I'm not back on top of the form. How can I do a smooth scroll back to top on the form?

Without seeing your form, I can only guess that you should use jQuery to scroll to the top of the page on load or set focus to the specific field.
