One-click Like/Unlike Tutorial
I recently implemented a stylish one-click way to add content to a "Favorites" form. In this technique the user only sees one of two graphics to indicate whether the content has been liked or not and clicking acts as a toggle for adding and removing the content to the form.
This method uses forms, views and fields, but does not require any custom PHP.
I posted the tutorial on my blog, here.
I hope this helps someone trying to do the same thing and I'm happy to answer questions or clarify any part that is not clear enough in the tutorial.

Must have been a temporary issue with the site... it's working now.

Yikes! That's certainly not how I'm seeing it, but I do have various layers of security in place, both on my server and on my CDN.
Would it be too much trouble to ask you to attach a screenshot to help me narrow down which layer might be tripping the error? Also, I presume you can't access my site at all, not just that blog post, right? (Try http://imnotmarvin.com)
My stats show pretty normal traffic for my site so I don't think this is affecting everyone, but I'd love to hear from others who see this thread... are you able/unable to access?
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the tutorial, I'm trying to do this at the moment (but having a little difficulty)... I should point out that I'm a complete novice, so apologies in advance for my incompetence!
I've followed the tutorial step by step, the problem I'm having is when I click the heart to add something to favorites, the icon changes as it should, but all of the icons change and not just the icon selected.
I assume this is an error on my behalf and I haven't linked the form/view to the correct parameter or something. But I'm struggling to correct it! Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Hi Matt,
You say "All of the icons change" and I'd like to know more about what you mean by that. I'm guessing you are trying to add the icons to a list of entries, but it would help to see.
What occurs to me as I type this is that maybe you're missing the entry id for the entry that should be updated. This should be part of the anchor tag.
I'd be happy to look at your site and see if I can help you more. Is it available online somewhere? If you don't want to share the link here, being that this post is not private, you can send it to me privately at [email protected] and I will see if I can help.
