Private Messaging with Formidable Forms

Has anyone tried creating a private messaging system in their website with Formidable Forms?

Basically a way for users to message each other or admin but that the messages will be private or open as chosen by the sender.

I am trying to not spend too much time reinventing the wheel if someone has already done it.

Private messaging.... like an inbox/outbox where messages are stored?

I think so...

User A send a message to User B. When User B logs in they see the message on a message page, and can reply. Ideally Users can choose who can see the messages, just a recipient, just Admin or everyone.

 

This isn't going to be done by using FP alone. You'll need to incorporate some custom code and probably an alternative plugin to handle viewing by users (permission handling).
