Hi,

I have several forms, is it possible to create a single master form and then embed the other forms to the master form.

This will allow me to setup page breaks between forms in an ordered way with a progress bar.

Will all form data be submitted at once by doing this if the master form had its own ID and save the data as one form entry.

Hope This makes sense

Regards Chris

Why does it have to be done with many forms? Can you explain the functionality of your application?

Hi Bobby,

I am trying to replicate a spreadsheet which is attached.

Because of the amount of calculations i find it easier to create a form for most tabs of the spreadsheet.

i have tried to do it in a single form but was unable to pull a value from a field in the same form with a watch condition.

for example of the issue i had, in step 2 i can enter shifts and then pull them in step 3 with dynamic fields. I then try to calculate the length of this shift using a lookup field with a watch but im getting no values in the lookup from the dynamic field.

Thanks for getting back to me

Regards Chris

Chris,

The spreadsheet is overly complicated for me to understand.

Do you have an example page to share where you are doing the conditional calculations and explain it that way?

Apologies Bobby,

Ok i will attach a image if thats any use, more than welcome for access if its easier, just let me know.

So logically speaking, if i was to create fields in step 2 of shifts names, times, lengths etc and go the step 3, i can select the amount of weeks in the cycle.

when they show the user can select a shift which is dynamically pulled from step 2.

below the cycle i am trying to get the values of the shift lengths.

my logic was to create a lookup field that pulls from the same form but "Shift Name" then set a watch for the shift length. This works on seperate forms but not a single form.

So if the user is to select lets say shift M100 then the value for M100 shift length would be 8.25 hours, this would allow me to do further calculations based on the shifts selected throughout the shift cycle.

Thanks Chris

It would help if i attached the image :)

It sounds like something that might be achieved through JQuery. Is the example shown a single form at this time or is it many forms? Email me at dgodfather@techmavenconsulting.com with access info. I'd be glad to look it over and offer my opinion.

Thanks Bobby, Email sent with information.
