User Registration Password Reset
Honestly this plugin is a nightmare, it's driving me up the wall - constantly having to redo things over and over again as I make one change somewhere loads of other things break and stop working!
Latest total farce is the user registration plugin - it was all working fine I have NO IDEA why it's stopped working, but instead of being able to create an account, set the password and automatically log in when the activation link is clicked in the email it now insists that the user reset their password.
What is going wrong with this steaming pile of horrible code now please?

Note to any prospective buyers - I will NEVER use this pile of crap again - it would have been EASIER to develop a form handling script from scratch than fight with this utter nightmare of epic proportions! If you want something quick easy and don't mind not being able to customise anything e.g. a very simple contact form - then great - this is a really expensive way to achieve that.
If you want anything more, don't believe the sales hype - it's nonsense - it's extremely flaky!!

Fields that were hidden and auto-populated are now SHOWING!
WTF is going on? Weeks of work, almost done and it's falling apart at the seams - I can't release this crap!!!

And now some things have started working again... I haven't changed anything, just been through the process again and this time it worked as expected.
Totally unacceptable...
I don't expect any replies, just venting here because I need to do it somewhere!
Apologies for folk out there who have to read this crap and my commiserations if you have found yourself trapped in this awful state too!

I am definitely going back to writing forms from scratch in the future - way easier!

Sounds like you can write your own code. My first thoughts were permission based. But you would already know that. :)
This team rocks. Together you and they will find the root of the problem.

The bizarre thing is it's all working fine again now, I have absolutely no idea why - this worries me!
Yes, I have a MSc in Computer Science and have been developing websites since day 1 back when it was just black text and blue links! It's rare I find myself needing any assistance at all, which is probably why I am finding it so frustrating.
Anyway... relying totally on the blessings of the universe I am going to go with it and just hope it's okay!
Quite nervous about it!
