Hook Examples

Check if current user is owner/creator

This code allows you to build if statements in a View to check if the current user is the creator of the entry. Use [if 100 show=ID is_current_user=1]content here[/if 100] to conditionally show/hide specific content based on whether or not the user currently viewing the display is the owner/creator of that entry. Change 100 in your shortcode to the ID of your user ID field. Then add this code to your theme functions.php or a new plugin without any changes:

Replace Separator on Export

This example can be used to separate checkboxes and other arrays with a space instead of a comma upon exporting the .csv file.

Get total time from start and end time

Break out hours and minutes totals from start and end time fields. This may not be pretty but it works, below is my adaption of the time totals hook example changed to add total hours and minutes to their own fields for use later.

Encrypted Fields

This will allow you to encrypt fields while at rest in your database. Data is obfuscated from views but can still be edited.

Entry ID in User Profile ONLY if Submitted

This allows you to create an Entry ID for a submitted form. It will update a field in the users profile. It will NOT create an entry if the form is saved as a Draft. A shortcode is created that . . . outputs HTML based upon the existence (or not) of the Entry ID.
