Hook Examples

Minimize the form without the shortcode

The easiest way to minimize the form HTML is by adding minimize=1 to your [formidable] shortcode. But if every form on your site needs to be minimized, you can strip out the white space before it can be converted to <p> or <br/> tags with this:
See example >
Remove option after n submissions

Use the code below to remove an option from a dropdown or radio field after it has been submitted x number of times. Change 426, 427, and 428 to the field IDs that you want to limit. Change 5 to the limit that you want to set. Please note: This is not set up to work with Dynamic fields or checkbox fields at this time.
See example >
Add two filters combined with OR

This example adds a filter which will check if Field A contains value 1 OR Field B contains value 2. The values will be retrieved from a search URL. In order for this function to be used, you must add a filter to your View which says "Field A is like custom". If you would like to search for a value that is equal to the search term, replace 'like' in the code with = and remove the % characters. Replace the field and View IDs with your IDs. Replace the search terms with your search terms as well.

Formidable Forms Repeaters and Complex jQuery Operations

Creating complex operations for repeater fields often requires custom jQuery code. Getting the code to work correctly can be somewhat elusive. This tutorial demonstrates how to get Formidable's . . . repeater field to work with jQuery calculations as new rows are added to the form.

Encrypt/Decrypt Formidable Form Fields

Cybersecurity is a critically important topic. With the rising sophistication of today's cyber-criminals, nobody's online presence is safe from intrusion. This is especially true if you create forms . . . to store credit card and/or ACH details in your online forms. For this reason, we published this article: https://victorfont.com/encrypt-decrypt-formidable-form-fields/
